         Workshops Young investigators
We aim to strengthen the skills and knowledge of young scientists
involved in research related to the pathophysiological mechanisms of
NASH and its systemic complications. Young students and scientists
(Master, PhD students and post-doctoral research fellows) are encouraged
to submit an abstract. The best abstracts will be selected for an oral
or poster presentation and will automatically compete for an EFLC award.

		Main Focus
We will focus on basic mechanisms related to steatosis, inflammation,
fibrosis and carcinogenesis and translational clinical aspects including
		drug therapy and nutritional interventions.

		Practical workshop on NAFLD diagnosis
In addition to state-of-the-art presentations on non-invasive diagnostic
markers for NAFLD/NASH, a practical training session in liver
ultrasonography and elastography will be organized. The total number of
participants in this workshop is restricted and on a first-come
first-serve basis. Therefore early registration is recommended.

		Parallel sessions
NAFLD is a multifactorial pathological condition that affect different
organs. Specific sessions addressing systemic complications of NASH from
multiple aspects will be organized. These sessions will include
paediatrians, general practitioners, and nurse practitioners.
